A Round Arrangement is perfect for learning how fill in, and learning how to cover your work. It helps you learn how to cover your stems, and floral foam with your greenery. It takes practice, but practice makes perfect. This arrangement isn't for any particular holiday or occasion, but it's perfect for a centerpiece. No back to observe, no mechanics revealed. There is no specific theme or colors chosen/needed for this arrangement.
Steps:
- Green In.
- Insert one flower at the top of the floral foam.
- Insert one flower on the right and left side of the floral foam.
- Insert one flower on the two other sides of the floral foam.
- Insert one flower at an angle in the middle of the "triangle".
- Do this for each "triangle". Make sure the flowers are all the same height and are "equidistant".
- Insert flowers around the arrangement in the blank areas. Make sure flowers have enough space; make sure they do not crowd or overshadow other flowers.
- Insert filler and greens, covering the stems.
In my arrangement, I would want to change the focal point; the color does not stand out to me. I would like the flower in a darker color. I do not like that some of the greenery and flowers seem to be sticking out a tiny bit. I would fix that next time. I like the colors of the flowers, and the simple look overall. I could not see the Leather Leaf as much as I wanted to, so I would try to make the arrangement a tad bit smaller next time.
From making this arrangement, I learned how to cover the mechanics of my work. I learned how to position the greenery so that they cover the floral foam and stems, so that they will not be in sight. It's important in Floral Design that you learn how to fill in and cover your mechanics so that the arrangement is more appealing to the buyer or receiver.
